PC as a controller to a real Wii - Chatty - 02-15-2010 Hi, would it be possible, that a PC would act as a controller to a real Wii? Why you ask? Well, I own a XBOX360 guitar and PC receiver. If the PC could act as a controller we'd only need a translating proxy, right? When all this is done, we'd port the source to MIPSel and have that proxy run on my router (which is on 24/7 anyways). *dreamin* Cheers. RE: PC as a controller to a real Wii - darkshadw - 02-15-2010 wut oO. RE: PC as a controller to a real Wii - KHRZ - 02-16-2010 Since there's 3rd party wiimotes, it can probably be done, but unlikely someone will consider it worth the trouble. Would be more usefull with a hack to use Xbox 360 controllers through the Wii's USBs (If THAT is possible... IDK...) Btw this isn't Dolphin relevant... RE: PC as a controller to a real Wii - CacoFFF - 02-16-2010 LOL why don't we stick together parts of wii and pc hardware and play real wii on PC? O wait, someone did happen to suggest that... I stuck my XBOX360 receiver into my Wii and the LED lit up. Unfortunately (but expected) the controller (a guitar) could not make a connection. We got a driver for Linux already... so who's taking the challenge? RE: PC as a controller to a real Wii - CacoFFF - 02-19-2010 If that's the case, then you would need someone able to program on the Wii platform. Maybe you'll have more luck in any homebrew forums. |
