Updated Revision and problems - ArchangelGabriel - 02-04-2010

Yesterday I updated from 47xx to 5003 (I think Orleans build). As I can see there is another build out right now, but I don't have time to check it at the moment so I ask anyway:

1. The new gamepad plugin won't accept my sticks (I've got an old Thrustmaster). It worked fine with older builds and the njoy Plugin. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be supported anymore. As a matter of fact I can map every button, but the sticks and the R1 and L1 buttons don't seem to work. Even though the callibration part within the plugin shows movement of the sticks and the R1 and L1 buttons are properly mapped. The latter just don't react within games.

After searching through the board I updated DirectX as you suggested.

2. I really don't get the thing with the memory cards. I once started Metroid Prime, played for about an hour and saved. After quite some problems I managed to get the same memory card (in the user ---> GC folder) to work with Resident Evil 0 and Metroid Prime Echoes. All the other games tend to tell me that it's corrupted and needs to be formatted. What's the catch? What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to define one memory card for each game (which is then loaded on startup of that game automatically) to avoid that problem? Or do I have to do something different? Might there be a relation to the games region? Is there a difference between a european and a US memory card?

Thanks in advance Smile

Perhaps ... and only perhaps my problems resulted from a DirectX which wasn't updated and when I updated it I forgot to restart my computer. When I booted it up an hour ago I tried to reconfigure that thing.

1. All my Memory Card files seemed to work without a problem. Well, the emulator just jumps between different files (and seems to create new ones as needed) but it finally works ... somehow. All games I started worked and DIDN'T tell me to reformat a memory card.

2. My joypad works just fine. The sticks are working, the triggers are working.

Well, I hope it stays that way. Smile
