having gamepad problems with newer revisions - djelmo - 02-02-2010 ok i'm going to do my best to explain my problem without having to record and upload video lol k so my problem is with the gc pad setup for the joysticks and triggers on my 360 controller and my $10 logitec thing that looks like a ps2 controller. the problem is identifying the axis, it when i click to program it that "this is the left x-axis" "this is left the y-axis" etc... it doesn't give me any time it just automatically sets it to "4" and my triggers to either 1001 or 1004 depending on the trigger option i pick and no matter which direction i place either joystick when clicking to program the axises it still throws down the same incorrect results, i've tried 3 gamepads, restarted multiple times, tried multiple ports (p1 p2 p3 p4) gave it a big deadzone, everything i could think of... and it always does the same thing, i've downloaded three 4900+ revisions from 2 different compilers and they all do the same thing. is there any workaround to manually tell it what i want my controller options to be by editing a txt file or if there's something stupid i didnt notice or the problem is known and there's a workaround please tell me, thanks. edit: suggested revision before axis detection existed would be a great answer too ha i'm dumb, after my idiot moment i remembered "there's probably multiple plugins in the drop menu..." not exactly problem solved but definately no longer my problem. |
