I'm really new - would anybody be able to help? - cond0ria - 02-01-2010

I downloaded the latest Dolphin build by Orleans - Dolphin-x64-r4987 (http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-2332.html) and tried to run Zelda - The Wind Waker (Gamecube USA)

Basically when I try to run the game I get an error message that says exactly:
Quote:Can't create opengl renderer. You might be missing some required opengl extensions, check the logs for more info

I'm an absoloute noob so I have no idea how to fix this, but hopefully one of you might be able to help if I post all the info required Huh

Quote:PC Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Ultimate 64bit
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz
RAM: 4GB
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 Graphics

The exceptioninfo file says:
Quote:Unhandled Exception
Code: 0xC0000005
Call stack info:
ntdll!0x770218EC : RtlDeleteCriticalSection

I've pasted the log file from the Logs folder here:
http://pastebin.com/f6b7bf55f

And here are the configuration settings and such in dolphin:

I'd be really grateful if anybody could help Smile

Try this
Quote:-MS Visual C++ Runtime 2008 SP1: This fixes the "side by side" / "application config" & model errors
Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist x86 - For 32bit Windows
Microsoft VC++ 2008 SP1 Redist x64 - For 64bit Windows

-The DirectX March 2009 Runtime: This fixes the plugin loading errors
Note: THIS MEANS UPDATE YOUR DIRECTX EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE VERSION 9.0c or 10 or 10.1!!!!!!
Microsoft DirectX Updater
But i am not sure if will help.
Everything looks fine...

Hey man, Try different graphic plug-ins(eg.opengl, direct x) and see if that will work.

What's your video card, dude?

RE: I'm really new - would anybody be able to help? - cond0ria - 02-02-2010

"Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family"

It's a laptop.. I'm guessing this won't work then, and I'm an idiot? Tongue

You're not an idiot. Intel just can't make gpus that do anything properly. Sorry, dolphin won't work for you. (maybe dx9 will, but you'll get depth texture errors)

RE: I'm really new - would anybody be able to help? - cond0ria - 02-02-2010

Wow. I just checked the graphics plugins again in Dolphin, and there's a new entry in the list. (OpenGL didn't work, and the Software Renderer was hell slow) - There's now a new one there: "Dolphin Direct3D9", and I have no idea why.

Anyway, I've tried it, and the game is working perfectly. I'm quite scared O.o
