Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - trihy - 06-18-2022 Hi guys. Was making some test with IR bars. Made a wider one to see it it helps on a big tv, but noticed no changes at all on X axis. The bar was about double wide the original size. What I did notice, setting both bars below tv, one attached to the screen and another about 10cm below tv. The one attached to tv was more "accurate" on the Y axis. The one 10cm above the tv, the IR cursor onscreen was around 2 or 3cm above the one with the bar attached while holding the wiimote at the exact same angle. So I wonder what changes are done when setting above or below tv and If we can alter this values to try other ones. RE: Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - JosJuice - 06-18-2022 This option sets a single flag that gets interpreted by the game. If you want a third option, you would have to find the game code that interprets this flag and edit it. RE: Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - trihy - 06-18-2022 Hi. I thought it was system wide. But if gets changed on Wii system menu to other values, I guess the game won't interpret it. So is not as easy as I thought. Maybe putting the IR leds on the sides of the screen could change Y axis. No, if you change it in the system menu, the change will be reflected in the games you run. I haven't said that the setting isn't system-wide, I'm just saying that each game contains code for interpreting the setting. RE: Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - trihy - 06-18-2022 Oh I see. Thanks. And do you know which file store this setting when you change it on system menu? RE: Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - JosJuice - 06-18-2022 /shared2/sys/SYSCONF in the Wii NAND, like with most settings you can change in the system menu. RE: Wii sensor bar below tv, above tv, third option? - trihy - 06-18-2022 Thanks! |
