Downgrade a version will recover save state - gusta00 - 03-15-2022

Hi guys, just a quickly question.

I'm using google play automatic update.
My save state is crashing (when I load it freeze dolphin). It happened after last week update.

If I downgrade to previous version, should I be able to recover my save state?

BTW I was not able to find where is locate the console save, how can I backup it in order to try downgrade my Dolphin.

Thanks a lot, great emulator !

I think the files are in Android - data.

There is a good chance that savestates don't work between versions, in your case going back would hopefully work. After doing so make sure to create a normal ingame save and you shouldn't have any problems updating.

Probably. But make sure to backup your saves before uninstalling your current version of Dolphin!

If you go to Config > User Data, it will tell you which folder your saves are in.

In case you can't access that folder using a file manager app, you can use the Export User Data button (also available at Config > User Data).

Yeah I know there was a HUGE warning when I enabled savestate. But I was lazy, and never happened issues, so I got used to it...

Thanks! I had found this but I wasn't aware which specific folder I need to save to preserve ingame save of others wii games.
I didn't know user data includes ingame save, so I will do this.

Thanks for support.. really fast..  Big Grin

Thanks for any input!

You need to reinstall the old version of Dolphin.
