Samsung Dex - JimmyG10 - 09-02-2020 I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it works like a charm, with the Note 20 you can now use Samsung Dex wirelessly but by doing that there is a noticeable input delay. With that being said I recently bought a hub for my phone and was thinking in theory I would be able to connect it to my phone, display Samsung Dex, charge with the USB C port, and use the USB port to connect the sensor bar to use the Wii remote and essentially have a portable Wii. The hub arrives Saturday so I will see how it goes then but for now, is there any reason why this would not work? All help is appreciated, thank you! But it really would be better to use a pc or laptop and just hook that up to your TV. It would have better comparability, performance, and customization. It would probably also be a lot easier to play multiplayer. But I'm curious to see how this turns out. Keep us updated. I had the Samsung Dex connected wirelessly but like I said there was a horrible input delay, so I am hoping with a wired connection it actually becomes playable. RE: Samsung Dex - themaster123 - 09-02-2020 I tried it on samsung galaxy s9 and it seem to work fine. You definitely want a controller though. It crash one on me though I don't know if this is related to using the external display but I didn't notice any input delay. I doubt though I will use this much though. It seem to work though the Samsung dex pc app fine also. But as Destroyer5150 point out I can't imagine this been practical over using a laptop or desktop on a a monitor. RE: Samsung Dex - LG Fanatic - 09-02-2020 To minimize input lag, you definitely want a wired connection. In fact, a USB-C to HDMI connection should work great. RE: Samsung Dex - JimmyG10 - 09-04-2020 I currently got my Hub earlier today, it works as planned, the HDMI triggers Samsung Dex and from there I launch the games, I played Guitar Hero 3 which worked damn near perfect, on the encore song towards the end it got a little laggy for some reason but besides that it worked flawlessly. New Super Mario Bros Wii runs full speed with zero issues, Wii Sports I did not pay much attention to, it appeared to not get a constant 60fps although the game felt perfectly fine, Mario Kart Double Dash was a breeze for the Gamecube, and I ended it with a big one on Super Mario Galaxy 2, that did not run so well, Menu was 60fps the majority of the time but once you got to the beginning sequence it ranged anywhere from 35-50 fps and once you got to the big bowser it dipped below 30fps. I am using the Note 20 Ultra and I was on optimized mode, I switched to High Performance mode and tried SMG2 again and it was above 30 for a good amount at the bowser part but I saw some dips belows 30. I would also assume Guitar Hero 3 would run a constant 60 on High performance mode. I used a Mayflash Sensor Dolphin Bar and a Wii Guitar to play guitar hero 3. I will be downloading more games and doing more tests tomorrow and show photos/videos if possible. If you have any requests for games you would like for me to try please let me know, thanks! Also if someone knows are these high end phones strong enough to run these games full speed and it just comes down to optimization or do we still have to wait for the phones to get stronger? If so I won't hesitate to upgrade each year until I can run all games full speed.
