Acer Aspire A517-51G-8433 - lonely-sorbet - 08-06-2020 Hey everyone, So this is my second thread on trying to get Dolphin to run, previously it was for a mid-2012 macbook pro. Now, to my windows laptop, an Acer Aspire 5. Here are the key specs (https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-i7-8550U-GeForce-A517-51G-8433/dp/B075CKH4SK): -Intel Core i7-8550U 1.8ghz turbo boost to 4ghz -12gb ddr4 RAM -Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2gb vram -Windows 10 64-bit -Dolphin 5.0-12247 -Faster Melee Slippi 2.2.1 -OEM GC to USB adapter and Generic GC to USB adapter -Backend: Dorect3D 12 -Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce MX150 -All other settings on default The two main games I'm trying to get to run at full speed are Melee and F-Zero GX. Both are slow and stutter basically all the time, input delays, dropped inputs, stuttering audio, etc. It's really easy to notice on F-Zero, when starting a race, the announcer who counts down from 3 stutters and distorts like crazy. With Melee, I miss so many inputs it's basically unplayable. Any advice on settings or ways to optimize would be greatly appreciated, thanks! |
