"Split" the Wii controller into 2 controllers - cokeman - 07-28-2020 Hello to the community, I need your help: my friend's daughter has a handicap on her left hand. In order to support muscle building and body awareness, it would be good if she plays the controller with her left for transmitting her motions. The controler buttons should operate with the right. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the left hand. As a solution, I imagine that I register 2 WII controllers or similar on the same channel on the WII / PC. One controller would only be responsible for the movements (left hand), the other for the function keys (right hand). What do you think, is it possible to clone a controller unsing dolping and to block the unneeded parts inside? Or am I thinking too complicated? I'm grateful for other ideas. It doesn't have to be the WII if the goal could be reached with another console. Greetings from Germany cokeman
RE: "Split" the Wii controller into 2 controllers - JosJuice - 07-28-2020 So one Wii Remote transmits motion data, and one Wii Remote transmits button data? That is possible with Dolphin. Use the latest beta or development version of Dolphin and enable the setting "Connect Wii Remotes for Emulated Controllers", and you will be able to map the inputs of any number of real Wii Remotes to any number of emulated Wii Remotes in whatever way you want. In your case, you would set up one emulated Wii Remote in Dolphin and then map two real Wii Remotes to its inputs. Keep in mind that when you use "Connect Wii Remotes for Emulated Controllers", the Wii Remote's pointer functionality won't work the way it normally does. If you have MotionPlus (either as an accessory or built into the Wii Remote), that can be used to emulate the pointer functionality with reasonable accuracy. If not, you can map the pointer functionality to a mouse or some other device. The setup can be a little tricky if you're not already used to how controller mapping works in Dolphin, so feel free to ask follow-up questions if you have any. RE: "Split" the Wii controller into 2 controllers - cokeman - 07-30-2020 first step of conecting a Wii Controller per USB-Bluetooth Dongle worked. I hope, the rest of the idea will work as well. Stay tuned. I think, this can work
RE: "Split" the Wii controller into 2 controllers - cokeman - 08-01-2020 I managed to connect two WII Controller through an Bluetooth-Dongle. A Signal-Bar is installed. I´m able to use the controller as Real WII Remotes. Like you have foreseen, in need help in mapping the controllers. I managed to connect the buttons tu Controller one. I suppose, i have to change the device, refresh and then set up die Motion Simulation and motion Input for controller two. Unfortunately here is my problem. Calibration is not working while in Motion Input the signal is working. So I need a bit help for getting the 2nd controller in contact in the movements section or just understanding the grammar of mapping movements. RE: "Split" the Wii controller into 2 controllers - cokeman - 08-26-2020 in the end, i managed to connect the two wii remotes as one, divided in moving and button. The solution was, to adress one Remote this way in the controller settings: `Bluetooth/0/Wii Remote:A` |
