Nvidia Shield Native Aspect Ratio for Wii Games - emu_fan - 07-27-2020
Is there anyway to hack the config so the Nvidia Shield can support native 16:9? I've noticed on my Linux build (similar dev versions) of Dolphin that in the Config settings under the Wii tab, there is an option called "Aspect Ratio" that is not present in the Wii section for Config settings on my Nvidia Shield. This actually sets the proper resolution to output native 16:9 on my Linux version.
This is separate from the Graphics settings which also has an "Aspect Ratio"
I've noticed that the Graphics version of "Aspect Ratio" for 16:9 only stretches the image on the Nvidia Shield but it is a stretched version of the 4:3 image, and not truly 16:9.
I'd really like to play my games on my Shield with the native aspect ratio if possible.

While the Config > Wii > Aspect Ratio setting isn't available on Android, it is set it 16:9 by default. If you need to change the setting, the easiest way is probably to copy the /sdcard/dolphin-emu/Wii/shared2/sys/SYSCONF file from a PC where the setting has been set to 16:9.
Keep in mind that not all games have native support for 16:9. Such games will simply ignore the Config > Wii > Aspect Ratio setting.
