help with Switch Pro controller - agenderfox - 07-21-2020
I'm honestly not even sure if this is a Dolphin issue, but I'm not sure where else to ask about this.
I've connected my Switch Pro controller to my computer, and I'm trying to configure the controller in Dolphin. I go Controllers > Wii Remote 1 > Emulated Wii Remote > Configure > Extension > Classic > Configure
then I use my mouse to click on Buttons > A
the box says Waiting
I mash the A button on my controller until the box decides it's done waiting and it goes back to being empty, at which point, pressing the A button on the controller selects Buttons > A, and the box says Waiting again
so my controller is interacting with my computer, and with Dolphin, it just doesn't count as a Controller???
on the page "Dolphin Emulated Wii Remote Configuration Port 1" (the page on which I hit Extension > Classic > Configure), the Device is "DInput/0/Wireless Gamepad" and I saw at least one YouTube video where the device said something like "Nintendo Pro Controller" or something, so I don't know if that's relevant

Use BetterJoy for Pro Controllers. It uses xinput and fixes the problems i've had with mine. https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoy/releases/tag/v6.3
Install the ViGEm driver included in the download, restart the computer, then run the BetterJoy executable
