F-Zero GX slowdown - djgil12 - 07-10-2020
Hey everyone! I'm encountering an issue in Fzero GX where whenever I hit the 3rd race(Sand Ocean) the game has heavy slowdown. It seems to be a somewhat common isssue but none of the solutions I've seen purposed have worked for me. I tried Skip EFB Access from CPU, switching between OpenGL and Direct 11, forcing 16:9. I turned the resolution down to the minimum even with all this stuff the best I can seem to get it to run is about 75-80% VPS. Any other things I should try. I saw some people saying it would run better with Vulkan but I can't find anywhere to install it.

I using you profile info for reference. It say you using the 5 stable. Use the newest beta, this was a issue that was fix with newer builds. Here the wiki page for f-zero gx for more info. It should get to the problem in question. Also vulkan came after dolphin 5.0.

Are you using any enhancements like ir above 1x. U cpus tend to struggle with sustained workloads and lower the clock speed more then non u The full graphic setting panel that has enhancements in would be useful. I know from my experience with an i5 8265u that I have to run that game with a 1x to get 60fps constantly

Maybe a window update in the background or something similar. I notice my 8265u laptop with lower performance when it charging over when it not also so maybe that a factor. Anyway it good to here you seem to fix the problem.
