Diagonal problems with Xbox One analogue sticks - the_lost - 07-07-2020 I have a problem that I can't seem to get to the bottom of - when calibrating the analogue sticks for both my Xbox One controllers, the mapping never seems to extend to the corners of the calibration boxes. I've run into this problem on Windows 7 and 10, and using both Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers. Am currently using 5.0-12257 but this problem has persisted ever since I can remember. ![]() This isn't usually a problem for most games, but I've noticed in certain games (such as Timesplitters 2/3, Second Sight etc.) that it is very difficult to move the camera diagonally. For example, when trying to look diagonally up and left the camera will move incredibly slowly, but speed up to the left or up if i move the stick a bit. This is frustrating when trying to use the sniper rifle in TS2, for example. If I reset the calibration to default in Dolphin then all extremities work just fine, but both sticks are incredibly sensitive and therefore almost impossible to use. I believe there used to be a stick sensitivity slider, but this was dropped when the new calibration feature was added - is there any way to reenable it through config file editing please? RE: Diagonal problems with Xbox One analogue sticks - Billiard26 - 07-07-2020 Xbox controller sticks don't reach the "corners". This is normal and exactly what the "Calibrate" feature compensates for. Unfortunately the target "octagon" is a tad smaller than it should be. After calibration you can try right-clicking each of your direction mappings and up the "Range" to 115 or 120 or so. I am aware of another game that needs this adjustment to make the character able to run in game. This is on my list of things to fix. Thanks for this! I've done this, although the range maxes out at 112 regardless of what I type to the box. Also the slider doesn't appear to do anything as the number stays exactly the same when I move it around. ![]()
RE: Diagonal problems with Xbox One analogue sticks - Billiard26 - 07-08-2020 I don't know why the slider doesn't work. :/ You can use multiplication in the input expression instead of the "Range" slider. e.g. Code: `Left Y+` * 1.2RE: Diagonal problems with Xbox One analogue sticks - the_lost - 07-08-2020 (07-08-2020, 06:38 AM)Billiard26 Wrote: I don't know why the slider doesn't work. :/ Thanks, this works perfectly! Timesplitters 2 is finally playable now
