Can one run two Bluetooth dongles? - SuperDerpBro - 06-02-2020

I have one dongle (Orico BTA-403) for my DS4. I use it for everything from 2600 to Gamecube/PS2. I would like to use a real Wiimote for Super Mario Galaxy 1, 2 and possibly Skyward Sword. Haven't played these in ages, and would like to. Anyways, DS4Windows wants exclusive mode and gets testy if it does not have it. Looking around it seems the best way to use a dongle with dolphin is also exclusive. So, can i just buy another and run two dongles? Or will they fight each other?

I want to be able to switch between say, a NES game with the DS4 to a Wii game with a Wiimote, without having to fiddle with any settings in between. Trying to make this box as couch worthy as possible. If you know that i mean.

I tried today with my single adapter and each breaks the other. Even if i don't use passthrough in Dophin (Just the normal emulate with real Wiimote), DS4Windows gets angry when i go back to it.

Cheers.

I haven't tried but you'll have more chance of it working if the two dongles are different brands or models.

Good point! I almost ordered the same one, heh.

You can, but there are some limitations. Windows BT Stack, for example, does not work simultaneously with more than one BT Adapter. The moment you plug a second one, it'll have an yellow mark on Device Manager saying it couldn't be initialized (but if you unplug the first one, the second one will work).

If you install libusbK on one adapter, it won't be picked by Windows BT Stack anymore, just Dolphin (or other libusb enabled applications), and you're free to connect another BT Adapter for use with Windows BT Stack. About having two identical adapters, that might cause Windows to automatically install libusbK driver (or regular Windows BT Stack driver) to both adapters when you move them to a different USB port, but that can be corrected by manually installing the correct driver on the desired BT adapter...

Interesting. I will give that a go. Thanks. Big Grin
