A bit confused on what I need to do to get sound working on my wiimote speaker - thegameksk - 06-02-2020 I have the folllowing the Dolphin sensor bar, a pc with onboard bluetotth, and Azio USB Bluetooth dongle. I can connect with my wiimote to the dolphin but the sound in the control comes out like crackles. With my onboard bluetooth Tashiba wont install but with the Azio USB it installs but it wont read my wiimote. It keeps saying unable to detect remote device. Can anyone help? Edi: I got it connected via bluetooth stacked and the Dolphin bar but the sound in the wiimote still isnt working. Is there anyway to get it working? RE: A bit confused on what I need to do to get sound working on my wiimote speaker - mbc07 - 06-02-2020 Wiimote Speaker sound is a little tricky. Dolphin offers two modes, "Emulate a BT Adapter" and "Passthrough a BT Adapter". On the first mode, Wiimote communications goes through the OS BT stack before reaching Dolphin, only official Nintendo Wiimotes are guaranteed to work and normally audio works properly only with controllers identified as RVL-CNT-01-TR. Using a Dolphin Bar in mode 4 means you're using the "Emulate a BT Adapter" mode, the only mode where it's supported. On the second mode, "Passthrough a BT Adapter", your BT Adapter will be exposed directly to the emulated Wii game and the game will communicate with the BT Adapter directly, like on a real Wii. This mode offers the greatest compatibility since any Wiimote that works on a real Wii (even fake and 3rd party ones) will work the same and audio should work regardless of the model. However, on this mode your BT Adapter will be detached from the OS so it won't work with anything besides Dolphin and the actual BT Adapter might introduce issues on its own (it's guaranteed to work flawlessly only with the BT Module from a real Wii modded to USB). Refer to this guide for setup instructions and more details. So, yeah, neither solutions might be perfect, depending of what you have. Take your poison... Im using the remote identified as RVL-CNT-01-TR and the dolphin bar is set to 4. I tried passsthrough and followed the instructions but I keep getting LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED. |
