Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host. - Gazoney - 05-18-2020 I've been trying to netplay with my friends, but keep receiving the error of "Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host." My other 2 friends are able to connect to my friend's host and none of them can connect to me when I host. I've verified that it's not an issue with my firewall (attempted both allowing Dolphin through the firewall and disabling the firewall entirely) and I've followed all the setup steps found here: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/netplay-guide/ We've also verified that we're all using the same iso file Does anyone know what the problem might be? RE: Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host. - KHg8m3r - 05-18-2020 Did you allow Dolphin through both your computer firewall and your router firewall? Are you using the Direct Connection or Transversal server to setup the Netplay session? RE: Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host. - Gazoney - 05-19-2020 Allowed it through my computer firewall. I'm not too tech savvy, but my router gives me options to disable/allow ports and the 2626 port is allowed. Is this what you mean? and we are using Direct Connection RE: Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host. - Gazoney - 05-28-2020 Bump? I still need help with this RE: Failed to connect to server: Could not communicate with host. - Craftyawesome - 05-28-2020 AFAIK a port forward isn't usually a allow/deny. You normally choose a local device ip for each port you open. Have you also tried transversal? It might work without any other setup. If that doesn't work, have you tried the upnp option in dolphin and having it enabled in your router? |
