No memory base pointer found! - Dolphin Team,fix this! - Leo - 12-21-2009
I have downloaded the last version of Dolphin,4712,and when I start a game,the message "No memory base pointer found!" It's showed,and Dolphin crashes.This is happening since r4507,and don't have fixed!
My specs:
CPU: Intel Centrino Duo 1.60 GHz
RAM: 1GB
GPU: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
Direct X: DX9 August 2009

Ok ... the problem with that error is that it appeared when the devs tried to fix the " 1GB of contiguous memory" error. in replace when you use theD3D plugin that appears
solution:
-Delete dolphin.ini ( *\User\configs )
-make something with the memorycard manager ( idk what you have to do , i never tried it )

Mm...You mean selecting a different Memory card from a version didnt had that problem like 4499 it isnt?

Also, copying your memory card file from a previous build works too

Tried copying memory card from 3972 and still does samething with 4505 to latest. I just have to keep deleting dolphin.ini no matter what. Tried Opengl, d3d, anytime I try to load Gamecube games I get that error. Wii games have no problem, though.

You not the only one luc2010. Either memory card or dolphin ini delete are best bets. If you wanna keep up to date on things there is a 50 commit issue where we all have stated the problem. Its only affected couple linux users and any one on XP 32 bit but its been stated a while in the google issue section. Give it a look. Its a already accepted issue and hopefully a developer will go back and fix the problem

Well Shawn its not like this error has just appeared. Its been hear now for over 200 commits which has had alot happen in development. Personally though I still use a older version of Dolphin for my GC games because of this problem. Guess we will have to wait for it to get worked out.
