Dolphin/Wii question - auskye - 12-19-2009 I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, or if there even is a "right" place for this question. Since it's possible to use a Wiimote with Dolphin and emulate the controls with a keyboard is possible to use that in the reverse? To take that concept and reverse it where you could use a keyboard (or whatever it would take) to emulate the Wii's motion controls, even if requiring recorded actions? (i.e. defeat the purpose of the Wiimote) RE: Dolphin/Wii question - nosound97 - 12-19-2009 You mean playing with keyboard and use various movements? You can. There are some basic ones like pitch, roll & shake. Some movements need real Wiimote, but you can ask someone to record those movements for future use. RE: Dolphin/Wii question - auskye - 12-19-2009 I meant on the Wii itself, not Dolphin. RE: Dolphin/Wii question - Apostacious - 12-19-2009 what the Fukct are you talking about? if you mean that if we could use the keyboard to emulate the movements of the wiimote on a wii then the answer is no. *shoots everyone in the thread* RE: Dolphin/Wii question - James333 - 12-19-2009 You mean using a keyboard in a wii in replace of the wiimote ? Well , It could be possible , but useless in most of the games and you couldn't use the pointer without a wiimote RE: Dolphin/Wii question - Apostacious - 12-19-2009 some games do support the keyboard, i use an usb keyboard for the internet channel. never tested a mouse... RE: Dolphin/Wii question - auskye - 12-19-2009 I'm talking about people (like me, the physically disabled) who can't really use the Wii Remote because of it's requirement of motion, Nintendo's lack of more titles with the Classic controller, and wanting to play more than a few select titles in what is considered "perfect" speed. Not that I have anything against Dolphin. Internet Channel is not really a game either. RE: Dolphin/Wii question - Apostacious - 12-19-2009 That's something you'll have to take to Nintendo and game developers really, what you're suggesting really requires a some rewrite of how the wii works. maybe some hardware interface between the keyboard and the Wii would be capable of doing this, But i know not of such hardware/software, if you really think about it there might be money in a business like that. now that i REALLY think about it, someone with an electronics background (like me) could make an apparatus like that cracking open a wiimote but it would not have IR pointer support, so we need Nintendo to allow us to use a mouse as a pointer. Also could make a computer connect through bluetooth to the wii making it think its a wiimote, we need serious computer ninja skills for something like that. |
