Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - luigi25 - 12-17-2009 Hi. I have a question. Can I play flawless and with a perferc speed with this PC? -Pentium Dual Core D 920, 2.8GHz -2GB de RAM -Windows Vista Home Basic I need a new Graphic Card because what I have is too old (intel 945g). Which one, with a low price and compatible with dolphin, do you recommend me? Thanks a lot. RE: Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - nosound97 - 12-17-2009 Well, it will not be the fastest experience, but enough to play it at least
RE: Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - extreme64 - 12-17-2009 also the main component for dolphin is not the graphics card but the cpu RE: Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - w4ffles - 12-17-2009 I don't know if that onboard 945g would be able to do PS 2.0 properly. Get ANY video card made within the last 4 years and it'll be better than what you have. Definitely won't be flawless, constant 60fps with that CPU. Not with most games at least. RE: Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - razor1911 - 12-17-2009 I have Core i7 with HD4850 most games run fine, but even on that system, there are slow games and hickups on some other games. mind you I play at 1920x1080 RE: Can this PC run dolphin perfectly? - luigi25 - 12-20-2009 Then I have a concret question. Do you know if changing the graphic card i´ll be able to run Mario Wii? There are a lot of videos on youtube running this game, 60fps. Thanks. (Core 2 Duo, AMD Phenom, etc.) Lets put it this way. You can run it, but it won't be at 60fps. On my other computer with a Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz, 2GB DDR2 800, and a Radeon X1950XT 256MB GDDR3, New Super Mario Bros. barely gets 60fps, sometimes dipping down to ~55fps ingame, and will only play the intro at 30fps. This is running at 1280x720 with no AA or AF. The minimum you should aim for is a 8400GS. I found this deal on another forum. This guy on ebay is selling new 8400GS cards for $13-$15 with free shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/Nvidia-GeForce-8400-HP-5189-2514-128M-TIGERCAT-PCI-EXP_W0QQitemZ360218166992QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCC_Video_TV_Cards?hash=item53dead06d0 Many people have offered $13 and he has accepted them. (Core 2 Duo, AMD Phenom, etc.) I am using the Intel Q6600 (no overclock), and ATI HD2600, 8G DDR2 800 memory. I can run the New Super Mario Bros, but a little bit slow. I can only play it on 640 x 480 (slow motion). What graphic card I should buy? I don't think it is worth it to buy the graphic card that is over 100 dollars, because I can just buy a wii to play it for that matter. Is the GeForce 8400 let me play the super mario bros with at least 30fps? (at any resolution) I am running Windows 7 64bit by the way. Thanks. The HD2600 is more powerful than the 8400GS. I suspect you are using the wrong settings. Are you using the Dx9 plugin with "disable fog" and "EFB Copy - To Texture" checked? |
