WiiMote+WIN7 = epic fail... help! =( - jmd9 - 12-14-2009 I've been trying about half a dozen recent builds, nothing stays connected. If it even gets past the title screen before disconnecting the Wiimote, it conks out somewhere in the in-game menus. It almost always drops before any actual gameplay starts... somewhere in the menus or on the Wii boot screen it dies. I've tried using the default Win7 bluetooth drivers, I've tried BlueSoleil... no appreciable difference. I have searched threads here and nothing seems to help. I can always get the initial connection, I can go into the Wiimote plugin config and check in the Recording section and see it working just fine... but when I get into games the connection breaks almost immediately. It seems to be a problem inherent to the Dolphin builds. I have had exactly two gaming sessions over the past week where the Wiimote didn't crap out. I have a degree in computer science, I've spent the last 15 years of my life building and tweaking PC's, and nothing I do here works. This is getting frustrating. Suggestions? (the games in question are Mario Kart Wii and the new SMB Wii, if that matters) RE: WiiMote+WIN7 = epic fail... help! =( - Jefferson - 12-14-2009 Mmm....Try setting Wiimote extensions to None. Have you actived Connect Real Wiimote or Use Real Wiimote? RE: WiiMote+WIN7 = epic fail... help! =( - WhiteZero - 12-14-2009 Obviously its something else on your system that is "epic fail", because a lot of use are using real WiiMotes on Win7 (32 and 64) without a lot of issues. Personally, mine works the majority of the time and in the last 20 builds or so I haven't had it cut out during a game. Also, you didn't mention exactly which builds you've tried. Please specify. Have you actived Connect Real Wiimote or Use Real Wiimote? Yes, both of them, of course. I mentioned that I can get it working for a very brief period but then it dies. Something is causing the interrupt/disconnect. And yes, WhiteZero, I know that it's supposed to work. I know that many people have it running just fine. I'm just frustrated beyond all belief that I've spent a week tweaking around on this and I have no idea what's causing it. There is no good reason why it should work once in awhile but generally fail. The builds I've used are 4665, 4666, 4671, 4671, 4681, and 4688. Also, I'm using the x64 versions of Dolphin/BlueSoleil/Windows. The bluetooth adapter I bought was the one I first saw recommended in one of the threads here: link. It has worked before, for an entire gaming session, twice, so I know it's not an actual failure within the hardware. RE: WiiMote+WIN7 = epic fail... help! =( - WhiteZero - 12-14-2009 Maybe try the manufacture's bluetooth driver instead of BlueSoleil? Also, try testing the responsiveness of your WiiMote directly with WiiMoteLib. Edit: Maybe try these? Their what I use, I think their just universal Toshiba drivers, might work better. |
