Trying to play Wind Waker... - Nsignificant - 12-13-2009

First off, I'm new here and I just started playing Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

The fps is not stable at all; it drops to 10 or so at certain areas, and randomly. Indoor areas work flawlessly though.

My rig's specs are:

Intel Centrino Dual Core 2.13 GHZ
Nvidia Geforce 9800m GS 512 MB
4 GB RAM
Windows Vista

I'm using REV 4525

Are there certain revisions that would fare better or certain settings that would make it play smoother?

Download the latest revision. And in DSP desable the Audio Throttle.
I recommend play the game with the D3D plugin, and not the openGL, I play with these config, and I get full speed and perfect graphics here. No problems with sound I think.

I tried that; no improvement unfortunately. Any other ideas?

Close unnecesary process, free disk space, Enable EFB Copy to texture in DX9 plugin configuration, set Frameskipping to 1 and framelimit off. Watchdog: 30. Enable Dual Core, Idle Skipping, JIT Recompiler, Optimize Quantiziers, DSP on thread...DPS: Only active the 1rst option.

Tiny bit better, now stays mostly in the 20-25 area...I was hoping to atleast get a constant 30...

EDIT: Now its incredibly unstable, going from 27 to 14...
