I am interested in putting in the work to get bluetooth passthrough working for a wii remote with the plus adapter, but my first question is whether it makes any difference between using a controller with the plus feature built-in, or an original wii remote with the plus adapter for playing games such as Skyward Sword using bluetooth passthrough relative to the following tutorials.
Next I want to verify that these tutorials are the best way to go to achieve the best compatibility and performance.

Bluetooth passthrough works just fine with the motion plus adapters. There is no need to specially handle them.
And no, a cheap Bluetooth adapter is not better than using one pulled from an actual Wii.

They linked the module designed for the Wii, not a USB BT adapter.
