Installing Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux - OverMighty - 07-19-2019 I compared Dolphin 3.5 and Dolphin 5.0-10630 on Windows 10, and when playing Mario Kart Wii at native internal resolution using OpenGL as graphics API, I noticed that I was getting 60 FPS while in-game on Dolphin 3.5 while I was only getting around 30 FPS while in-game on Dolphin 5.0. That's why I tried to install Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux too. I found a package for Dolphin 3.5 in the Arch Linux Historical Archive: https://archive.org/download/archlinux_pkg_dolphin-emu but when I tried to install it using pacman like the Arch Wiki says to: Code: sudo pacman -U https://archive.org/download/archlinux_pkg_dolphin-emu/dolphin-emu-1%3A3.5-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.xzCode: warning: cannot resolve "lzo2", a dependency of "dolphin-emu"Could you help me install Dolphin 3.5 even if it is an old version? Or is it not normal for Dolphin 5.0 to be much slower than Dolphin 3.5? RE: Installing Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux - JosJuice - 07-19-2019 Sorry, we can't help you with 3.5. It is normal for 3.5 to be faster than the latest version, but that's because it's lacking a lot of accuracy improvements. RE: Installing Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux - OverMighty - 07-19-2019 Alright, thanks. RE: Installing Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux - DJBarry004 - 07-19-2019 Note that your CPU is far from being good enough for Dolphin these days. And GL *sucks* on AMD GPUs. RE: Installing Dolphin 3.5 on Arch Linux - Helios - 07-19-2019 Closing this thread because it's specifically asking for support for a thing we don't support |
