Settings for Pokemon Colloseum - Tokora - 07-18-2019 Trying to run Pokemon Colleseum on a new laptop which I think should have enough power to handle it. There is occassional drops to 10-15 fps in the overworld and in battle. I've tried every back-end and Direct3D 12 with Ubershaders seems to work the best. Operating System: Windows 10 x64 Processor/CPU: Intel Core i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1992 Mhz, 4 Cores Video Card/GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620, Nvidia Geforce MX130. Memory/RAM: 8 Gb Dolphin Revision Currently Using: Dolphin 5.0 10630 x64. Any tips for getting it to run smoothly would be appreciated. RE: Settings for Pokemon Colloseum - TKSilver - 07-18-2019 What is happening with your CPU's temp and clock speeds when you hit the occasional drops? The issue with U series procesors is they they are normally designed for burst performance (shorter periods of high performance then lowering performance for battery life) rather then sustained CPU usage. It will of course depend on the power delivery and cooling built in to the laptop from the manufacturer. Persoanlly when I am looking into performance issues in emulators (or realy anything) I run afterburner with the on screen display through rivia tuner. If it is just something general I only show some stats, but if there is a bigger issue I will display the cpu temp and usage on a per core basis so I can see how much each individual core is getting used (more useful then something saying my 4 cores and 8 threads ate being 50% used which could be all threads at 50% or 4 threads at 100% and 4 at 0% or anything inbetween). |
