The vanishing Metroid Prime widescreen HUD - nintendoeats - 06-29-2019

Evidently, at some point there was a patch for Metroid Prime that modified the HUD to show properly in widescreen. Unfortunately, the closest one can now get to it is here. I sent a PM to that user, but their last post on Reddit was 2 years ago so I don't know if they will get it. Does anybody else have a copy of this patch?

This is more for future users, since I'm nearly finished re-playing through Metroid Prime anyway.

I thought there was already a Gecko/AR code for enabling widescreen in that game? Try looking it up in the game“s wiki page.

I'm talking about scaling the HUD, not disabling culling outside of the standard view frustrum (there is indeed an AR code for that). If you look in the link I posted, there is a thumbnail of an image which is now lost to time, which shows the icons and other elements of the visor being stretched to match a 16:9 view.
