Gamecube Controller input lag - renegade135790 - 06-28-2019

When I try to play melee on dolphin it lags a little at the start of each match but it mostly runs smoothly. My issue is that there is a short delay between interacting with the controller and what happens on screen, about 0.5 - 0.1 seconds depending on the button pressed. Im wondering if i may have set up the controllers wrong. It might not be that though. If anyone else has encountered this issue please let me know if and how you fixed it. It makes the game basically unplayable. Also my pc is pretty good so i doubt thats the issue. Im new to this stuff so I dont really know what to do. This is the standard controller set up i have.

Are you using a wiiU/switch adapter or one that's only for PC?

If you want no input delay you can try passthrough by setting it to wii U mode:
