Wiimote IR reader? - dashyt2dafulliz - 12-11-2009

Hey Germs/Ladies,

new to the forum, 1st I want to thank you guys for this awesome piece of software. 2nd, I seem to be a bit unclear on IR response for the wii mote, I connected the wiimote to the program, buttons work but actually movement doesn't.

I assume I need some type of IR for it to work? any help is appreciated.

The wiimote contains an IR camera. The sensor bar is basically just a few IR LED's separated by a small distance. The wiimote detects the relative positions of the LED's and moves the cursor on the screen accordingly.

In a nutshell, yes you need some source of IR light.
