Classic controller Not working on wii menu - L0w13 - 06-07-2019

So i have downloaded a Dolphin wii menu but when i try to use a emulated classic controller it doesnt work.

Can anyone please help me?

That is because the Wii menu is controlled by the IR pointer and the Wiimote itself, AFAIK it doesn't support the Classic controller.

It does support the Classic Controller. You can use the left stick to move the cursor.

Maybe it's because the emulated pointer is being pointed at the TV? I wonder if there's a simpler way of disabling it than doing something like mapping Hide to the inverse of a button...
