Do these games work on Dolphin? - Terranigma Freak - 12-11-2009
I have a couple of GC/Wii games I want to play on Dolphin, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me how well they work. I don't want to rip them, only to find out they don't work. I just spend a hell of a time ripping Radiant Dawn, and it runs really slow.
Baten Kaitos
Tales of Symphonia
Rebel Strike
Harvest Moon Animal Parade (Wii)
Anyone know the status of these games on dolphin? I searched, but the threads are like 100 pages long.

Well all the games are going to run really slow at best unless you have a significantly overclocked CPU.
Tales is rated as "Perfect," Kaitos as "Ingame," Harvest Moon Animal Parade apparently works perfectly (but very slow) according to one forum thread, and I didn't manage to dig up much info on Rebel Strike, but all the info I got did not appear to be very promising.

From my tests. Tales "playable". Baten kaitos "perfect". Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn: "playable" and is not that slow, depend of oyur hardware and how you set dolphin configuration.
with idle skipping, framelimit off, only hle checked in hle plugin, and copy EFB to GL texture can't u see a speedup?
And for a further improvement in speed u can also select native and real xfb (with a clear deterioration in graphic).
I suggest you try different builds 397x, 452x, 467x..

My CPU is an Athlon II X2 at 2.7 GHZ.
About Fire Emblem, I actually didn't know the right settings. Thanks for the tips! I'll try to dump Baiten Kaitos first.

figured i'd post this here instead of starting a new thread. when trying to get rebel strike to work and spider-man 2. i found that dolphin will try to run the roms when dspLLE is selected fps=2 vps=11 speed=18%, don't know if this helps anyone or not but i'm noob when trying to configure dolphin. i can't upload anything as it would take 2 days, as i'm on dial-up.
