Is it possible to make tilt an instant button rather than delayed? - TurboByte - 05-12-2019 Hey there, Awkward title aside, recently I've been trying to configure my keyboard to play games with motion control, particularly tilting in a racing game. However, I noticed that there's significant delay between the key press and it registering as a turn, which leads to me turning the wrong direction. Rather frustrating if you ask me. So, what I want is for a key press to instantly register as a full tilt to one side without any delay. Is this possible? If not, I'll just go dig one of my Wiimotes out of storage tomorrow
RE: Is it possible to make tilt an instant button rather than delayed? - Billiard26 - 05-12-2019 The "delay" caused by emulating the rotation (and time) it takes to reach the desired angle is minimal and can be visualized in the mapping UI. I think the delay you are experiencing is just the game waiting for stable accelerometer data. I could expose the "rotation speed" of the "Tilt" mappings. But I really don't think that is going to help here.. it's already darn fast. Perhaps this game you are playing supports GameCube controllers which would behave nicer? RE: Is it possible to make tilt an instant button rather than delayed? - TurboByte - 05-13-2019 Oh, didn't think about using a GameCube controller, probably because I never owned one lol In any case, it works a lot better, and it feels a lot better too. Thanks!
