Same problem here i have a HD4670, any game i try give me only a black screen i try a lot of GameCube/Wii games with same result

Did you try using this PPA ?
https://launchpad.net/~glennric/+archive/dolphin-emu
This version works beautifully here (Ubuntu Lucid + nvidia proprietary drivers).
