Ubuntu 9.10 Video not working at all - razor7 - 12-10-2009
Hello...i had compiled revision 4665 in my ubuntu 9.10 x64 box. Everything compiled ok, but when I try to play metroid prime (the only game i have right now), the sound plays correct, but there is only black screen...with overlayed fps and some data...
I can play normally in windows!
I have n ATi HD4870 video card...
What I'm doing wrong?

Are you using OpenGL or D3D9 plugin?

Hi WZ...jeje...as ai said...I´m using Ubuntu/GNULinux, so it is only OpenGL plugin for graphics...

Hi Razor,
Even I had this problem. One of my friend helped me to fix it. I do not know exactly what he did but I think that updated some of the files system files and then updating the latest version of fglrx did the trick. Try it if it works for you.

Hi razor97. Metroid Prime needs to check the Safe Texture Cache in OGL.In GNU/Linux too obiously
Try with this and post here the result.
I have too and Ati Radeon HD4870 and have no problems. I use Updated Ubuntu 9.10 from Ubuntu studio.
X64 too
