Dolphin doesn't detect real wii remote through dolphin-bar - Dev_Bon_Bon - 04-06-2019

I'm kinda desperate here.

I can't get dolphin to detect my 3rd party wii remote through dolphin-bars mode 4.
I've verified that the remote works using a real wii, and that the bar works as it should on all other modes.
Using bluetooth passthrough is not an option.

Here's what i've tried:
I've tried each usb port my computer has, including the usb 3.0 ones
I've uninstalled the devices through device manager
I've cleared the driver/device data
I've replaced the drivers with libusbk and winusb drivers through zadig
And i've done all of the above with reboots in the middle

I've also updated the bars firmware to the latest available one and tried the bar on two other computers using the latest dolphin dev build (as of writing, so r9910), with no success.

The closest i've gotten is dolphin detecting the device, but claiming that it's disconnected:

No matter if the remote is connect or not, the status stays the same.

The best lead i have is the device not being migrated, according to device managers events reporting:

Here's the whole message:
Code:

Google didn't give me anything productive when searching that

Edit: I'm left with the impressions that the dolphin bar doesn't support 3rd party remotes. I'll try to get an official one to test on, but in the meanwhile any and all suggestions are welcome!

That's about right, your other option is bluetooth passthrough, but that doesn't work with the dolphin bar.

Welp, i confirmed it, dolphin bar does not work with 3rd party remotes. Got an official one and it works fine. Even with an unofficial nunchuck

Dolphinbar not supporting 3rd party remotes should be mentioned in the wiki and/or in the accessories guide. I don't think i'm the first to buy one thinking i don't have to hunt down an official remote just to use it.
