RE: SSBB Wii cutscenes - CacoFFF - 12-10-2009 Double Fail This forum is the 'Dolphin Country', even if it is legal in yours to do that, you get banned here RE: SSBB Wii cutscenes - Nebetsu - 12-10-2009 It's actually not "illegal" either to download since I'm pretty sure copyright disputes are settled in civil court and not the regular one. It's about as "illegal" as accidentally breaking your friend's xbox. It's not "illegal", but he can go after you to get money for it in civil court. The other thing is: Any other (actual) illegal activity is fine and dandy to talk about here as long as you're not giving a tutorial on how to do it. So why is everyone so anal about piracy? There's a difference between "Yeah I downloaded this file and it turns out it doesn't work right" and "Hey I got this file from (insert link here)". Most forums draw the line at posting links and allow to casually mention what you do that may or may not be a legal gray area in your country. RE: SSBB Wii cutscenes - dstruct2k - 12-10-2009 Obtaining a backup of any game you own (the means are unimportant) is not illegal. Sharing it to people that don't own it is. While you may ban people on the forums for talking about downloading games, the fact remains that downloading an ISO of a game you already own is not actually a breach of copyright. Whoever's sharing it is the one doing something wrong. But, downloading the DVD5 copy is actally illegal for anyone, as nobody owns that copy of the game, because it was never produced. Its very creation was a breach of copyright. ("Do not modify...")

Whoever's sharing it is the one doing something wrong. In the US, the only way to make a backup without making yourself open to a copyright suit is ripping it yourself. ![]() And it's legal for people in certain countries to download the DVD5 copy as long as they don't share it with others. But it still stands: Why are we allowed to talk about illegal activities that we may have done, but are not allowed to casually mention if we pirated something? RE: SSBB Wii cutscenes - James333 - 12-11-2009 Because the fact that you have drugs or things like that doesn't affect the emulator at all, only the piracy You can always make your own DVD5 version ( if touching one single byte of data of the disk were illegal then all the people that compressed their isos with dophin is screwed ) , By the way , I heard that the bug happens when you compress the iso ( idk if it happen with dolphin or wii scruber ) RE: SSBB Wii cutscenes - EmryX - 12-12-2009 I'm sorry, i'm french and i can't say what i want to say exactly. =/ I'm sorry opening that debate of legal or illegal copy of games, etc... I have my own since he was been released. But when i discovered that emulator, i wasn't at home so i dowloaded the DVD5 version of Brawl. I'm sorry about that, i have my own game, i have a Wii, a WiiMote etc...
