zelda tp question - number1xer0 - 12-09-2009

hi im new here and ive looked at all the rules and regulations, messed around with all the different plug-ins and it seems i still have a problem with playing twilight princess, you see ill load the game and the opening movie will work and the menus will work in the beginning but whenever i start a new game my framerate drops to zero or one and if i wait a couple of seconds all i start to see the intro movie fro when you start the game i have a phenom quadcore clocked at 1.8ghz and a 4870 radeon card with 4 gigorams and ive enabled the dual core speedup and played around with all the different settings on the 4525 build, are there any hacks for skipping movies or anything for zelda or could i even try the gamecube edition and have better luck? i know that my quadcore is .4 ghz below whats required but could that much really effect the game that much?

Yes, it can effect it, I don't think it should that much, but I'v noticd on my cpu, if i have it at 1.8 Ghz, hyrule field runs about 18-21 FPS, but if I boost it to 3Ghz, it runs solid 30. and my CPU is an i7, so it 'may' effect it that much. Also as a side note I run the GC version, so I'd give it a shot. I also recommend using the D3D plugin, it runs faster. And the Start button (not sure what button on Wii as I play GC) will skip the movies.

OHHHH yep used the d3d plugin and now it works fine thanxs! runs at 24 fps about so works for me! you see i was using an older build of dolphin earlier as well and tried the d3d plugin and it didnt help much but now that i have the new one it works fine also do i need to directx runtim august installed specificaly or can i just use the latest runtime that i already have

If the D3D plugin, and njoy plugin appear in the plugin list your fine. Personally I'd update to the latest, D3D update, but your probobly OK. Also, if your on the newest build of Dolphin(assuming your using orleans) go into the Advanced tab, and change the EFB copy To Texture, I'v noticed TP runs faster with than with it on To RAM, and To RAM seems to give a large corner graphical garbage problem.

I'm not sure on that I havnt used Wii emulation much, sounds like a Wiimote bug, not being able to sync the bluetooth part of it, so id do normal saves, or, get the GC version

RE: zelda tp question - number1xer0 - 12-09-2009

and one more question, how would i use the sword in the wii version considering you use a nunchuck to attack and you have to move it around how would that work? i dont have a controler so im going to be using my keyboard and mouse is there a way i could i dunno, hold a button so that the nunchuck would act in place of the wiimote while pushing down the button

you should be able to, you could emulate it within the plugin i do belive.on the Wiimote plugin, set the expansion to Nunchuck
