Reckon the Ipega 9082 AR could be a wiimote substitue - ichimitch - 03-22-2019

So I came across this yesterday. It's primary use is for gaming on phones but it uses motion controls. You guys are in the know more than I am, you reckon it could be workable?

I just realized it probably uses the phone's gyroscope, not one in the controller.. Derp.

Although........ You reckon you could use a smartphone as a wiimote??

If somebody takes the time to leverage OpenXR to give us a platform and controller non-specific way to support gyros, then sure.

No implies that we wouldn't take a PR if somebody spent the effort. Smile

Well then I do hope that someone with the applicable gyro knowledge contributes what you need because gyro makes much more sense than IR, IMO. Also who wants to keep recharging AA batteries for their old wiimotes all the time?
