It's just you. Nah, I get you. Mario moves a bit slower than in Super Mario 64 for example, but Mario doesn't really need it this time around since the worlds are more linear or otherwise smaller (but multiples of them), thus less backtracking, so less need for moving around large distances. RE: Im a bit disappointed with super mario galaxy - Belqua - 03-10-2019 Well, i just stopped playing. Its not fun. The controls feels really bad, especially the wiimote. Im also getting some serious lag occasionally. What a disappointment. Its just not my type of game. You miss out on two of the greatest games ever made by mankind. PS: Did you try it with the Mouse + Keyboard? You can not get any more precision for the WiiMote's Pointer than with a mouse. Really, it is the way both games were meant to be played. RE: Im a bit disappointed with super mario galaxy - Belqua - 03-11-2019 Sorry dude, i just couldnt get it into it. It just wasnt my type of game.
RE: Im a bit disappointed with super mario galaxy - KHRZ - 08-14-2019 I thought it was great when I first played it back in the day. Don't have particularly fun if I play it now though. But it's more fair to rate it from your original playthrough. The strength of this game is the element of surprise/creativity more than the actual challenge of the game. (Although it was also more challenging the first time). And with 13 more years, what was "new and innovative" will easily fade in comparison with never games. Mario Oddyssey for example took many of it's ideas and improved on them. Biggest flaw IMO: The highly abuseable spin jump that kills platforming precision gameplay. E.g. the spin-wall-jump-spin again which seems oddly unintended by how you can skip many sections with extremely tall jumping. Just long jump near some platform, spin onto them. It doesn't take much skill for any challenge in this game to be ruined. RE: Im a bit disappointed with super mario galaxy - Belqua - 08-19-2019 I think the reason i didnt like it was because it didnt feel like a mario game. You use a remote controller to jump across small platforms with 4-5 coins, then you jump onto the next platform, grab the few coins and vice versa. The reason why i like super mario 64 and sunshine is because you go on an adventure to explore the different gameworlds. Super mario galaxy didnt really have much of that. Perhaps i just prefer the oldskool way of playing games? |
