help - won't play - n00bd00d - 12-06-2009 Hey, I have been out of the scene for a minute now, and I just got a new compile (4371) to try out my zelda: twilight princess. The emu starts up, but I get an error msg when I start the game. I've updated dx9, and did some of the trouble shoots I read in some of the other posts, however no success. my specs are below. I have had a problem with my gpu's and sp3. The cards are low powered and draw from the Mobo, and since their install I can only run 1HDD internally. I assume its either a power issue, the PS (600w) is just not supplying. or there is a conflict with sp3 and the updated nvidia driver, a conclusion I've come upon while doing several clean re-installs (can have several hdds on the mobo up until I install sp3, then it bsod's until I remove all but the main). I know a hardware upgrade would probably solve this, but funds are low aTm. I don't expect anyone to solve my Hoopty 'puter issues, but I think a well rounded aspect of what I am working with here might shed some light on my problem. Peace. RE: help - won't play - James333 - 12-06-2009 and what is the error message ? RE: help - won't play - n00bd00d - 12-07-2009 Ah, i should have explained that better. I get the standard "dolphin has encountered a problem and needs to shut down". I never get past that point. I don't have any GC games to test with. I will borrow one from a friend and see if I have the same issues. edit - I tried The Wind Waker and still get the shut down issue. here are my settings as listed in the sys info: Dolphin Revision: 4371 CD/DVD Drive1: D: CD/DVD Drive2: L: Processor Information: AuthenticAMD, 2 cores, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, 64-bit support Plugin Information Default GFX Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_VideoOGL.dll Default DSP Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_DSP_HLE.dll Default PAD Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll Default WiiMote Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_Wiimote.dll Current GFX Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_VideoOGL.dll Current DSP Plugin: Plugins/Plugin_DSP_HLE.dll Current PAD Plugin[0]: Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll Current PAD Plugin[1]: Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll Current PAD Plugin[2]: Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll Current PAD Plugin[3]: Plugins/Plugin_PadSimple.dll Current WiiMote Plugin[0]: Plugins/Plugin_Wiimote.dll Dolphin Settings Always HLE Bios: True Use Dynarec: True Use Dual Core: True DSP Thread: True Skip Idle: True Lock Threads: True Use Dual Core: True Default GCM: DVD Root: Optimize Quantizers: True Enable Cheats: False Selected Language: 0 Memcard A: ./User/GC/MemoryCardA.USA.raw Memcard B: ./User/GC/MemoryCardB.USA.raw Slot A: 1 Slot B: 2 Serial Port 1: 0 Run Compare Server: False Run Compare Client: False TLB Hack: False Frame Limit: 5 [Wii]Widescreen: False [Wii]Progressive Scan: True RE: help - won't play - James333 - 12-07-2009 Check "use panic handlers" and then tell me the error RE: help - won't play - Lantry - 09-05-2010 i am getting what looks like the same problem. i installed dolphin and followed the steps on this website. this solved a problem i had earlier (it wouldn't open the emu at all) but now when i click on the game i want to play it opens up a blank fullscreen window which flashes a message in yellow text for a split second before going blank and becoming unresponsive. i managed to get a screenie of this text, and it says: Cleared code cache Dolphin Opengl video plugin CPU: AuthenticAMD, 2 cores, sse, sse2, sse3, 64-bit support C:\users\ethan\downloads\timesplitters_future_perfect/nu-ts3.iso Video Info: NVIDIA corporation, GeForce 7150m / nforce 630/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!, 2.1.2 also, in my exceptioninfo.txt, it says: Unhandled Exception Code: 0xC0000005 Call stack info: 0x0D9B28D8 : ? I hope this info might help you, and i especially hope you can help me. |
