Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - ThunderVolt - 10-08-2018 More of a curiosity question than anything else, but is it possible to assign GameCube controller inputs to a Wii controller? For example, if I plugged in a GC controller to my PC with a Mayflash adapter, could I assign the A button input to the 2 button on the emulated Wiimote? RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - Helios - 10-08-2018 Yes. Set Wii Remote 1 to Emulated Wiimote, set the mayflash to PC mode, bind controls like usual. RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - ThunderVolt - 10-09-2018 Hmm. I click on the keybind option, I hit a button on the GC controller, but the config box remains at "..." Is there anything I need to enable? RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - JosJuice - 10-09-2018 (10-09-2018, 07:13 AM)ThunderVolt Wrote: Hmm. Before you do that, you'll need to choose the right controller from the dropdown at the top of the window. RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - ThunderVolt - 10-09-2018 All that shows up are these, none for the GC controller + adapter. I'm pretty sure it's none of these "vJoy" devices considering they stick around even after the adapter is unplugged.
RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - DJBarry004 - 10-09-2018 You don“t lose anything from trying, though. RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - ThunderVolt - 10-09-2018 Aye, I've tried all of the options, and not even "All Devices" registers the GC controller, even though the GC controller works fine in something like Super Smash Brawl. RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - DJBarry004 - 10-09-2018 Have you tried that "Refresh" button? RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - JosJuice - 10-09-2018 Are you sure the adapter is set to PC mode? RE: Using a GC controller for Wii emulation - ThunderVolt - 10-10-2018 I set the adapter to PC Mode and hit Refresh, and voila, I got three new options: Dinput/0/MAYFLASH GameCube Controller Adapter Dinput/1/MAYFLASH GameCube Controller Adapter Dinput/2/MAYFLASH GameCube Controller Adapter However, I tried all three and attempted to set a keybind, but none worked, the box stayed at "..." regardless of which input slot I selected and whatever button I pushed. |
