Updated Dolphin a few minutes ago, now it's not working! - stelevein - 10-02-2018 Okay so as the title suggest, I updated my dolphin Emulator a few minutes ago and when I did I started getting an error message that I hadn't gotten prior to it. It hasn't happened at all until the new update!
RE: Updated Dolphin a few minutes ago, now it's not working! - JonnyH - 10-02-2018 What version are you updating from/to? Maybe it's a setting change - try putting a 'portable.txt' file (it can be empty) in the same directory as the new dolphin executable - this makes it look in that folder (rather than your user folder) for the config etc. - so it should effectively restore all the defaults without changing your existing settings. Do you have the latest GPU drivers installed? Make sure you use the vendor's website to get the latest version - sometimes the ones on windows update are older or incomplete in some ways. Your profile says that you use a GTX 280 - this is quite old now - if you have the latest drivers, perhaps we're trying to use a feature it no longer supports? Maybe try different graphics backends? (OpenGL or Vulkan) RE: Updated Dolphin a few minutes ago, now it's not working! - stelevein - 10-02-2018 I have the newest GPU drivers, and I know they are old. Planning to upgrade my entire system soon, but I will try your method and see! Thanks |
