Zelda Twilight Princess - aggression425 - 11-27-2009 hi i was wondering how to use the directx9 with the game zelda TP because i heard you get better fps in the field of hyrule with it. Could someone please tell me if that is true and can you tell me how please. I haave a intel core i7 920 at 3.3 and im thinking im gonna overclock it to 3.6 with my coolermaster v8 RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - Jefferson - 12-07-2009 Well... Plugin DX9 Give you some FPS extra, but it quality is a bit buggy. But you can get FPS by next: -The resolution: If the resolution is smaller your game goes faster. If is bigger your game will decrease it speed. -Aspect radio -Render to main window:This set the game on the main Dolphin Window. Helps a bit -In the newest versions: ENABLE EFB COPY TO: RAM. Also Remember to active: Dual Core, Iddle Skiping, Optimize Quantitiers. Use: "Zelda Twilight Princess Bloom Hack" And if you want set Frameskiping to: 1 RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - MarioMadness - 12-07-2009 Really the only thing there that will improve your FPS is the Zelda Bloom hack, Everything eles like changing resolution and changing aspect ratio will not give you more FPS ( Changing resolution use to effect FPS, But it doesn't seem to anymore!) -Zelda Bloom hack Does improve FPS greatly tho! (right click on the game and go to properties to turn it on) -Frameskipping will add a few more FPS, But It seems to just make games choppy( It Needs to be fixed agin) -Turning Off Enable Other audio in DSP will add FPS So There's really not to much you can do to make a game run "faster". But the DirectX9 plugin Should give you the Boost your looking for
RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - EmirParkreiner - 12-07-2009 Hi guys, Instead of making a new thread, I thought I'd simply post in this one. A *small*, if not game-crushing issue. I'm using the latest Dolphin Emulator, and while I'm extremely happy with how TP is running, there's a small issue that seems to be one quarter of my screen is really low resolution (native resolution?) My specs: Intel Quad Core @2.40Ghz GeForce 9800 GT 1Gb RAM 4GB DDR2 RAM RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - ugoo - 12-07-2009 use bleach vs crusade hack it fixes that and get's rid of bloom effect in the game (never really like bloom effect game looks better without bloom in my opinion) and it also get's rid of the lighting effects in the twilight realm so all the twilight realms won't look overcast instead they will look like the normal areas RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - SolarFlare - 12-07-2009 I've got the game running with the bloom/dof/heat effects under the D3D9 plugin with no slowdowns. Not even in hyrule field. Whereas with the openGL plugin I get slowdowns everywhere. I'm running build 4651. Unfortunately the minimap doesn't seem to work, but it doesn't really bother me because I never made use of the minimap or the dungeon map in zelda games. The dungeons were pretty straightforward to me. Also curiously, the ZTP bloom hack works for wind waker but it doesn't seem to do anything for twilight princess, lol. RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - EmirParkreiner - 12-08-2009 Thanks for the help guys! Sorted now! RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - GsixtyForce - 12-08-2009 Wanted to report that NGC Zelda TP in hyrulefield went form 7pfs to 5 ![]() in 4657 ... owell RE: Zelda Twilight Princess - SolarFlare - 12-08-2009 (12-08-2009, 06:20 AM)StripTheSoul Wrote:(12-07-2009, 04:57 PM)SolarFlare Wrote: -snip- I was getting full speed in hyrule field during the early parts of the game where not many other locations are unlocked. Unfortunately I'm now getting severe slowdowns after lakebed temple. For me, enabling any of the hacks don't improve my performance, they only remove the eye candy, so I keep them off. |
