If they released the codes other people could help this emulator including some expert PCSX2 devs. The hardest part has been done, now it's just optimization.

Yeah, They have version v3.1.2 Out Now & It's Vastly Improved over the Previous Ones!
I read that the PS2 is one of the Hardest to emulate on Android! They had this Play! Emulator that SUCKS Compared to This! My Guess is that this Dev wants his Version to be "Proprietary" so that it's Unique and that he can have a Better Competition in the Market, and can downplay other variants of it. with the Improved Variables that Damon PS2 has done with this is IMPRESSIVE to say the Least! So that's probably why he didn't want to Release the Updated Binaries to it. Nobody else can say the same in Google Play Store

Not only they are violating GPL by not releasing the source code, but I read several posts on Reddit that DamonPS2 has a very sketchy DRM scheme and is very invasive with the permissions they ask in order to work...

Wow I didn't realize all the sketchy things Damon PS2 has surrounding it. I found it weird when emulating some of my favorite games like Parappa the Rapper 2 on PC with PCSX2 it unfortunately has problems on some levels that block out the button prompts which obviously you need for a rhythm game, and when I decided to try it out on my S10 + with Damon PS2 to see how it played it had the exact same problems in the exact same instances, same with Silent Hill 3 I'm pretty sure. I don't know emulator development but I would figure different emulators would have different problems.
