CPU OC - Can I ? - Demimorg - 11-18-2009 Can I safely OC my CPU ? How much Can I increase without buying additional coolers ? My specs are in signature. RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - Necorum - 11-18-2009 every cpu is different trial and error. Google search "overclocking" research before you try RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - abfab126 - 11-19-2009 You can easily go for 3.3 or 3.5 Ghz ^^ RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - James333 - 11-19-2009 And me ?
RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - Necorum - 11-19-2009 lol you can jump off a cliff james j/p RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - NaturalViolence - 11-19-2009 A wolfsdale pentium D and your asking if you can overclock? *begins laughing histerically*. With sufficient cooling and a good mobo you should be able to hit 3.75 GHz on good air and 4.5 GHz on liquid. But it depends on the cpu and also I would never recommend OCing at all on stock cooling. RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - LuisR14 - 11-19-2009 you can get to 3.63GHz on the stock cooler ^_^, that's as far as mine can go (same cpu )
RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - Demimorg - 11-19-2009 Thnanks for all the answers. Luis, are there differences in games and app when you OC'ed it ? RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - NaturalViolence - 11-20-2009 *has sudden urge to smack this noob across the face* Yes Luis did your performance get any better from a 45% INCREASE IN CLOCK RATE! (sorry if that sounded mean) RE: CPU OC - Can I ? - LuisR14 - 11-20-2009 lol, of course it did
