Does anyone know how to fix this? I googled it and someone said to use real XFB but that just gives me a black screen.

Yes, it's annoying. Same problem here with "Zack & wiki". "A Boy & his blob" also has some flickering.

use real xfb fixes flickering issue's in zach + wiki just so you know
