Wiimote (original not plus) on a mac - dolphin 5.0 won't detect it - coreymon77 - 01-28-2017

Hi everyone,
I imagine this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to get any information by searching around the forums.

I've got a mac, OS X 10.12 with Dolphin 5.0. I'm trying to get a wiimote to work with it. One of the original ones RVL-CNT-01, not the -TR plus models. I can connect the wiimote with my computer fine. Click refresh, sync the remote with dolphin, it rumbles, player 1 light stays solid, etc etc. But the controller refuses to work. I used to use it a year ago or so with a classic controller attached as a gamepad for gamecube games. It doesn't work anymore. I go into controller mapping, and it doesn't detect the wiimote when I try and map buttons.

I open up OpenEmu and everything works fine. I can map keys and the controller works for games, but not with Dolphin. Button presses aren't detected for it and I can't use it. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Thanks.

Dolphin only supports using real Wiimotes using the "Real Wiimote" option. You can't map it to emulated GameCube controllers or emulated Wiimotes unless you use some additional software.
