Mario Kart DD blue translucent screen(honor 8 kiri 950) - OhMiBod - 01-25-2017

Running mk DD on my honor 8 with decent fps but getting a transparent blue or dark overlay over screen. Looks like a night time mode. Tried everything can't fix. Heard on a forum googling that I can change HUD to fix. Don't know how.

My settings

I chose Jit CPU with 5x the clock speed

Texture cache = low, external buffer = disable, aspect ratio = auto

If someone can help I would appreciate

You need to disable "Ignore Format Changes".

I did and nothing happened. Been disabling and enabling every settings..Nothing works.

Here's how it looks in game.

Quick note: I read on dolphin wiki that checking disable fog is suppose to fix this but it's not working

Sounds like a device bug then. Are you on EMUI 5.0 nougat yet or still marshmallow?

I'm on marshmallow. What would nougat do? And what do you mean by device bug?

He means there may be bugs in your device's graphic drivers that are causing those issues in dolphin.  A new update to Android 7.x might fix these issues.

As long as it's software and no hardware issue. I hope nougat fixes it. Dolphin has too many bugs and hasn't been fixed in years

This link [removed] someone had something that sounds like same issue and a post claimed to have fixed with HUD & camea adjustment. It's older post and most likely referred to PC ver

It's not just referring to an older PC version, it's referring to a VR fork (one that we do not discuss here). So the chances of it being relevant are very small.

I guess I can't play mk on dolphin android. I think i am running a less mainstream chipset that isn't optimize well for this situation..I should be getting android 7 update next month. Crossing fingers otherwise hoping someone here finds a soluton in the mean time

I've just tried it now. Mario Kart Wii runs fine on my nvidia shield. So it's very likely your GPU driver.
