Importing saves\save states from an older revision - J0nathanr - 01-22-2017 I recently updated to version 5.0 of dolphin emulated from beta version 4.0-8008. Upon launching wind waker and trying to load a save state an error occurs reading "unable to load state from other version". Since i didn't have any recent in-game save what i did was downloaded the version of dolphin i made the save state on (4.0-8008), loaded the state and made an in-game save. However when i went back into dolphin 5.0 and tried to load the in-game save I an error came up telling me that my memory card was corrupted. I went back into dolphin 4.0 and tried the same thing and the memory card was corrupted as well. So what i did was format the memory card which erases all the data and then load the save state and make another in-game save but the memory card still gets corrupted. The save states however can be loaded fine in dolphin 4.0, so I guess in theory whenever i wanted wanted to play winemaker i could boot up the old version of dolphin but this would get annoying after awhile. Does anyone have any ideas on how I I can fix this problem? Thanks. Running on macOs Sierra RE: Importing saves\save states from an older revision - Craftyawesome - 01-22-2017 Without GCI folders (which isn't in 4.0) savestates desync when the save file is different. save-state, ingame save, load state = corrupt save With GCI folders it is better but there is still seemingly random save corruptions. Also did you downgrade to 4.0 or 4.0-8008? It probably won't work well with 4.0. Your options are Restart Find a save file about where yours is Try to play the rest of the game with savestates on 4.0-8008 |
