IR Pointer in Super Paper Mario Suddenly Stopped Working - musichasm - 01-22-2017
Hello. I tried looking for an answer to this and haven't found any.
I've been playing Super Paper Mario and using an emulated WiiMote.
I have attached a screenshot of my setup.
I just reached Chapter 3-3 and my IR emulation stopped working. It works in other games but not Super Paper Mario. I changed the settings all around every way I could think. Tried disabling the cheats I has activated from before. Tried starting a new file and I confirmed that the IR isn't working in the game at all. I can't figure it out!
Can anyone help?

Did you try: saving your controller settings and then hitting the default button and reconfiguring from scratch?

Yup. No such luck.
The strangest thing is that it was working up until this point and nothing changed. :/

Just to make sure, you're holding the button that you've mapped to !Hide, right?

Yes. I've even deactivated that option to make it constantly active.
Again, this is only with Super Paper Mario

Hmm... Isn't world 3 the world where Tippi gets kidnapped and you thus can't use the pointer? Though since you said that it doesn't work in a new game either, I guess that's not the problem...

Well............. I'm a fool. I had not played the game for a bit and when I resumed forgot that Tippi was gone, and starting a new game also forgot that you didn't have Tippi right away...
