Not able to connect wiimote - devsio - 01-19-2017

So I recently bought a Wii remote with motion plus inside it together with a nun-chuck but it won't connect to my computer these are the things I tried to fix it:
  • I have a Intel dual band wireless-ac 8260 with Bluetooth support. First thing I tried was starting up dolphin and go into the Wiimote setup window and checked the box for continuous scanning. I pressed the "1" and "2" button and the Wiimote starts blinking and then turns off. I tried this a couple of times and decided it did not work.
  • I went to the Bluetooth option screen of windows and I tried to connect my wiimote there. I did the "1, 2" thing again on my wiimote and it went from connected back to paired as soon as it stopped blinking
  • Next up I went to the closest electronic store to buy Bluetooth adapter. I bought the Belkin F8T065bf installed it on my computer with the newest drivers I could find on the Belkin website and I did the previous 2 points but now on the adapter. For save measure I completely shutdown the Bluetooth capability of my motherboard in case of interference. But sadly this also didn't work.
  • I tried to find a toshiba stack driver for windows 10 but I couldn't find one. So I downloaded a random one because the toshiba site doesn't host this stack anymore. But when I tried to install the toshiba stack it just said that my operating system was not supported. I tried running it in compatiblily mode but that didn't help either.
  • Next up I installed bluesoleil. I let bluesoleil scan for devices nearby but bluesoleil couldn't find any devices at all.

So I'm at my wits end here and I really don't know how to progress further. I really hope I can make it work with the items I have before opting to buy a dolphinbar. Because the wiimote + bluetooth adapter was already pretty expensive.

This seems to be a common issue for Windows users, but this doesn't even happen consistently for everyone…

You'll probably have more luck by using Bluetooth passthrough (the Intel adapter should work very well as long as you shut down the game properly) or Linux. Or both.

Well I tried to do bluetooth passthrough to both my build in bluetooth adapter and the one that I bought. But both don't work. When I enter the decimal pid and vid in the dolphin ini file for the intel bluetooth I get the message that "Bluetooth Passthrough has been enabled but is unable to find a adapter." With the belkin adapter the game does boot but when I try to sync the wiimote just blinks for a while and turns off.

Edit: Seems like the belkin adapter does work with passthrough after spamming the sync button on both devices a couple of times. I'll report back in the bluetooth passthrough topic in a couple of days with the performance of the belkin adapter.

Er, you likely don't need to force a PID/VID for the Intel Bluetooth adapter. It should work fine without needing to force it.

Well the game does start up without the error but the remote won't connect to it. Just blinking lights.

You are pressing sync in dolphin too right?
