About Dolphin Dual-Core - matheusstaffa - 01-18-2017

I have a intel i7-3770 processor. But Dolphin actually uses dual-core (based on my researches). Is there any way to Dolphin utilize the extra cores/threads for extra performance on high CPU demanding like Sonic Colors. Also using a new processor like intel i7-7700K 4.2GHz will give better performance? BTW i use always the latest version of Dolphin.

Using the 7700k will give you better performance (due to higher clock and IPC), but really any more than a 3 core CPU (which can use the 3 core for backround stuff, etc) won't do any better.

About 77% performance boost

i7 7700k vs i7 3770k though (Anandtech don't have i7 3770)
Please ignore other results and look for "Dolphin Emulation Benchmark"

Dolphin can only utilize 2 threads effectively with its current design; simply adding more threads would actually make emulation slower.
